So I’ve been thinking…

My mother is in the process of preparing my youngest brothers graduation party.   This is such a sentimental time as he is the baby of 5, her last child out the door.  The reminiscing has begun to ensue, not just for her but for the rest of us as well.  I was already 12 when he was born and working my way up to adulthood, which I was only 6 years away from at the time, at least in my mind! (lol yeah I was one of those kids who couldn’t wait to skip ahead to adulthood, now wishing I spent more time enjoying a carefree youth!)

I can tell that Johnny boy (my baby brother) is also in a reminiscing phase as he has begun to post pictures of his life leading up to this momentous occasion on his facebook page.  As I flip through those photos, so to speak, I get all of these ideas on how to create books & messages that would make for such an awesome present on a graduation day!

Yes admittedly, some of the best, and most funny, moments are caught candidly by family members with their, trigger happy, fingers on the shutter.  But some of the most precious moments can be captured, with stunning quality, by a photographer.  Maternity shots show the anticipation of the family who eagerly awaits the child. Newborn shots reflect the innocence of this time of life.  Annual child portraits show how your little one is growing over the years, and have the potential to show a really fun side of your little person!

Now lets start to think outside the box!!  Say you go into labor your probably going to be in the hospital for a little while, give me a call and I will try my best to make it there so we can capture all the excitement and intense emotion that surrounds this amazing event!  The family biting nails in the waiting room, dad popping out to make a phone call or announcement, those fresh little toes & fingers that have been poking you from the inside are now holding on to you for dear life from the outside!  This is the moment that you’ve been waiting for they’re here!  Let me help you show those precious first moments of your child’s journey!

Also as your child grows they may start showing interest in sports or music or any extra curricular activities.  If your kid has a big game coming up, or an important dance or piano recital, is getting their brown belt after years of martial arts dedication and practice, whatever the achievement, let me help capture the before moments of anxiety, to championing the accomplishment, to the celebration afterwards!  These are really fun moments to remember!
